Beat Writers
Book Series
After World War I, a certain group of restless, searching Americans came to be called “The Lost Generation.” This group found its truest voice in the writings of the young Hemingway. For a good many of the same reasons after World War II another group, roaming America in a wild, desperate search for identity and purpose, became known as “The Beat Generation.” Jack Kerouac is the voice of this group. Legend has it that Kerouac wrote On the Road in three weeks, typing it almost nonstop on a 120-foot roll of paper.

The books key image consists of pages from all 3 Beat books woven together. I chose to do this because the Beats were friends and often wrote about each other and their travels in their books. They rest of the imagery is symbolism that is used throughout the books.

Point of Sale Display
